The Hunters are Coming
The first time a hunter came for him, Bradley Nash was only nine years old. That was three years ago.
Now, he lives with his family in a Florida trailer park. He doesn’t remember the attack, doesn’t know anything about hunters, or dragons, or even magic.
As his twelfth birthday approaches, however, his peaceful life starts falling apart.
The hunters are coming, and if Bradley doesn’t figure out exactly who and what he is, everything he’s ever known will be destroyed.

Our Review
Set in a Florida trailer park, this middle-grade fantasy adventure follows a young boy named Bradley Nash who suffers from anxiety, particularly around strangers. When Bradley was 9 years old, he was attacked by a strange man named Max whom his father called a “hunter.” He was lucky to escape, but now—three years later—he doesn’t remember any of those events. Life is peaceful for him and his family—until just before his twelfth birthday when Bradley discovers a family secret and receives a handwritten book titled Mastering the Gallu Draig. The illustrations portray dragons, and the text includes cryptic idioms like “The most important part of your journey is choosing your direction” and “What you need is always more powerful than what you want.” Bradley’s world changes forever. Readers can’t help but cheer for the endearingly imperfect Bradley as he battles one enemy after another, all in the name of saving his family. Follow him on his journey as he embarks on a quest to save himself and find his true power. Be prepared for a whirlwind adventure out there full of magic, mystery, and mayhem.
This book is seriously awesome! 5 stars are rare for us, yet we’d give this one 7 if that were possible. Seriously, I could barely put it down – great characters, good plot lines, enough depth, and breadth to really get into it. And finally, a tale told fully that will have you biting your nails and turning pages as fast as you can.
It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a book so much. The author takes a new approach to human/dragon interactions which fascinated me. The world-building was thorough and I enjoyed the character development.
Extraordinary – not to be missed!
