A Note from the Author
I’ve been called a rebel, provocateur, and all around maverick. I always pave new paths, live outside of the box, crush the norm and stand FIERCELY in my own individuality. As one of the first bilingual elementary school students in the early 70’s to flourish in a BETA school where Spanish was introduced as mainstream to English speaking students, Miami Florida was forever changed by youthful power and fearlessness. I was thrust into the spotlight early and it gave me a taste of leadership, unique perspective, out of the box thinking and opportunities.
My path of non-conformist thinking has continued through today giving the thousands that follow me a live version of what standing in your authenticity and power can look like for them. I’ve developed my storytelling and writing quite a bit since then, but the essence of creativity and entertainment I began with as a kid has remained a major influence on my work today. Empowering girls with unique stories that are live examples of what leadership looks like is my storytelling passion! I’ve been writing professionally since 2017 with the release of my first book and have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. I am a wife, a mother of 3 girls and I love to laugh!
Monadiki: The Goddess of Fierce Leadership
Monadiki is the inspirational tale of a girl who is born into a world of gods and goddesses and goes through the common struggles of growing up. Her parents know there is greatness in her, but Monadiki can only see one thing: she is different from all the other little goddesses. Monadiki doesn’t like eating lamb or wearing white togas and gladiator shoes, but she feels that fitting in is the only way to her happiness—until she realizes that what makes her different is exactly what makes her special.
In her first book, Allexia Brewer promotes a strong message of leadership for young girls to be proud of the unique gifts they are given at birth, and that if you follow your own dreams—not others’—you can live your life with authenticity. Monadiki is the young heroine every girl can look to for the courage to embrace her true self.
