RWYK Author Interview: In Conversation with Aramis “The Kid CEO” Verano
Hey there,
As many parents know, oftentimes kids have difficulty adjusting to new situations. When this happens, it becomes harder for children to regulate their emotions, and often have difficulties controlling their anger. Today on the Reading with Your Kids Podcast, we’re proud to introduce a wonderful book, Kindergarten CEO: The Struggle is Real by Aramis Verano a.k.a. The Kid CEO. When 7-year-old Aramis Verano got in trouble for fighting with a classmate, he decided to write a book about bullying. This book is fully illustrated by Aramis, as well.
The book is Aramis’s real story and the struggles he went through his kindergarten year. His experiences are not unique to him, because it is something that millions of kids face a year. What makes this children’s book unique is that it is written and illustrated story from a child’s perspective. Because he knows that other kids have similar struggles, he made this one of a kind children’s book to help inspire other kids and give them insight and hope.

More about the author
Aramis “The Kid CEO” Verano was inspired to write Kindergarten CEO: The Struggle is Real, when he was 6 years old, at the end of his kindergarten year. At the beginning of his school year, he faced multiple struggles including being bullied, getting sent to the principal’s office because of his anger that stemmed from being bullied, and learning how to control his behaviors in class. After getting help from multiple people, such as his school counselor, teacher, and family members, Aramis was able to end his school year on a high note. His vision is to help other kids learn from his mistakes and teach them how to go from “bad choices” to “good choices” so they don’t end up in the principal’s office and learn how to manage being bullied.
