About The Author
Prudence Williams has been writing for over 40 years, but it took Ruby to convince her to publish a fictional story because this big sassy dog needed a story of her own. A 25-year veteran teacher, Prudence is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia and a big fan of the Bulldawgs. Having taught middle school children for all her career, Prudence loves working with children and hopes her books inspire the love of reading in kids. Prudence has also published a learning workbook for elementary aged students, Mr. Shipman’s Kindergarten Chronicles: The 1st Day of School Learning Workbook Aligned with Common Core ELA Standards.

Ruby Makes Us Smile!
Ruby Smiles by Prudence Williams Shipman is a wonderful book you and your kids will love. The book introduces us to Ruby, an energetic and lovable dog, and celebrates Ruby’s relationship with her companion Mr. Shipman. The two friends love spending time with each other, and when Mr. Shipman goes to work Ruby makes sure to keep the house safe.
Ruby is a furry ball of positivity and joy. She loves running around the yard playing with the squirrels, getting rubs in her happy spot under her neck, going for walks with Mr. Shipman and greeting the neighbors. Ruby loves her life.
The illustrations are fun and feature lots of bright colors that kids will love. They perfectly capture Ruby’s love of life and the beautiful relationship she has with Mr. Shipman.
This book would make a great addition to any family library.
