Meet Maria Ashworth, Storyteller, Speaker, and the Children’s Author of “Be The One: spreading peace and kindness”
Hello RWYK family!
We are very excited to be able to share this interview we did with Maria Ashworth. Maria is the author of Be The One: spreading peace and kindness. She is an award-winning author who has published eight picture books and a Middle-Grade novel. A few of her adult short stories have published in literary contests and a woman’s anthology. She leads a weekly critique group that she started in 2009. She continues to perfect her craft by being a long-standing member with SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators).

About Maria Ashworth
Ms. Ashworth writes everything from picture books to fiction novels. She pursues writing as a member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and The Houston Writers Guild. She has published a handful of short stories in contests, literary magazines, and an anthology. In her spare time, when she’s not writing, you can find her pumping iron at the gym, planting in the garden, or digging into a pint of ice cream.
