Get to Know “Faith Goldstein”
Faith Goldstein’s debut picture book, “Gorillas’ Night Out,” published by Indigo River Publishing, was released in January 2019.
Prior to becoming an author, Faith was a Kindergarten teacher. After having her second child, she decided to pursue her dream of writing children’s books.
“Gorillas’ Night Out” is an award-winning book, having been recognized as a Gold Medal winner in the Mom’s Choice Awards for children’s books. Additionally, it is 5-star reviewed by Readers’ Favorite.
Faith loves making author visits to schools and preschools, where she gets the opportunity to be back in the classroom, sharing Gorillas’ Night Out with students.
In her spare time, Faith loves spending time with her two highly energetic sons, Brandon (11) and Max (6).

New York City — the perfect place for four Gorilla’s seeking out the adventure of the lifetime!
“Gorillas’ Night Out” is an award-winning book, having been recognized as a Gold Medal winner in the Mom’s Choice Awards for children’s books. This is a delightfully funny picture book written by Faith Goldstein and beautifully illustrated by Elizabeth Brawley. We love children books! They are also especially enjoyable with great illustrations like this one has! The story follows a gregarious gorilla named Pete and his gorilla mates who live in the zoo. They are exhausted and tired of following the same old routine every night, so they escape looking out to explore the adventurous city life of Newyork. Readers get to peek inside the most lavish clothing store in NYC after dark, to explore an old-fashioned ice cream where they will find every flavor of the finest ice cream and a trip to gymnasium all from the point of views of Gorillas. However, their night out adventure comes to an end when they are caught “monkeying around” at the gymnasium by the night watchman. Read the book to find out if Gorillas make it back to “The Central Park” zoo safely, and on time?
We enjoyed this well-written, fast-paced adventure book and transport readers to another world, a world of adventures and animals. This is a fun picture book that will interest almost any child as it has just the right amount of action, adventure, and excitement. The short rhyming text makes it a perfect read-aloud treat, and with vivid illustrations from Elizabeth Brawley, readers and listeners alike will be thrilled to see what happens one night on the streets of New york city when four gorillas escape from the zoo in pursuit of the ultimate night out. The detailed illustrations and thoughtful color choice help young readers narrate the story.
