Meet Author Lizette M. Lantigua!

Lizette M. Lantigua, was born in Queens, New York, and raised in South Florida. Her parents were born in Cuba and exiled to the United States in 1961. As a newspaper reporter, writer and Emmy-nominated television producer in South Florida, Lizette has extensively covered the experiences of the Hispanic community.

She is the owner of Good News! Book Fair www.goodnewsbookfair.com, a Catholic school focused book fair. They offer a large selection of fun books with Christian themes from Pre-K to Teens as well as T-shirts, table games, music and more! They partner with leading Catholic publishers to deliver a unique experience to schools and the Parish community. They also give a portion of their sales to the host school. Its goal is to evangelize, create Catholic identity and fundraise! Lizette (Liz) Lantigua, lives with her husband and three daughters in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In this interview, Jed chatted with Lizette Latingua to talk about her new book for youths ages 10-14, Mission Libertad. This is a fast-paced adventure about a young boy’s escape from the oppressive regime of communist Cuba and his settlement in the United States.
