Natasha Carlow is the author of the award-winning Happy Tears and rainbow Babies which tells the story of how faith brought healing and hope to her family after the pain and loss of a miscarriage.

Join us as we learn all about how miscarriages affect 1 in 4 pregnancies worldwide. Within 12 months most couples go on to conceive subsequent babies. These ‘rainbow families’ make up a significant portion of the population. Worldwide, the conversation has been begun to garner attention about the effect of miscarriage and loss on the immediate family and by extension the wider society. There is a need for representation of the experiences of rainbow families and it is Natasha’s hope to bring awareness to National Rainbow Baby Day celebrated annually on August 22nd. Enjoy!

More about the author

Natasha Carlow with her husband and children, Christmas 2017Natasha Carlow is a first-time author and longtime lover of the written word. Natasha is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and works as an Itinerant Counsellor and Lecturer.  She resides in East Trinidad and Tobago with her husband and two preschoolers. She and her husband are owners of Rainbow Babies, a company that specializes in customized clothing and accessories for rainbow families.

As a mother of two amazing rainbow babies who spent much of her time reading stories to her young children, Natasha noted that there were no stories that spoke to her family’s journey. So…she decided to write one. Set against the backdrop of a rainbow, Happy Tears and Rainbow Babies tells the story of how faith brought healing and hope to one family after the pain and loss of a miscarriage. Written from a mother to her children, this story engages the reader in a conversation that families everywhere can share and benefit from.
