Our guest today is a Writer. Author. Educator. She is the partner of The American Mom, author of the Sidney Saidso Series, and an Educational Consultant. Please welcome April Lee Terrell on the Reading with Your Kids Podcast!

April is joining us to talk about her debut children’s book “Sydney Saidso: The Miss Know-it-All Girl“. In the first book of the Sidney Saidso series, you meet a young girl who thinks she knows it all. Sidney is constantly being bossy, taking other students things, and correcting everyone’s mistakes. When her friends are finally tired of her ways, Sidney learns the true meaning of being the Miss-Know-It All Girl.

image1.jpegApril Lee Terrell is a self-published author, partner of The American Mom blog , and the founder of Academic Solutions LLC, an educational consulting firm dedicated to supporting teachers, schools, and school districts with professional development.

April spent ten years’ in Baltimore City Public School System as an Early Childhood Educator and Administrator.  

April is currently a National Trainer for the I Can Problem Solve interpersonal cognitive development program.  She is dedicated to creating awareness around the importance of Social-Emotional Learning in the school setting by teaching courses that provide educators with resources for embedding these concepts into the academic curriculum.

April is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, and Johns Hopkins University.  Additionally, April maintains teaching certifications in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Special Education.
