“I have been writing stories in my mind for a long time…It seems like the characters ‘create’ themselves. I just write down what I get from somewhere. This applies to all my stories. “I don’t choose a topic, or select characters, they choose me!” Nayera Salam

Here’s Our Review

Nayera Salam’s latest children’s book “Loudmouth Line and Decent Dot” gives families a fun way to talk about respect and friendship. As the title implies, the story is about a boastful and quite rude line. The Line believes it is superior to the lowly and very kind Dot. “I can be anything I want to be” boasts the Line.

What the Line forgot was that it started life as a lowly, single dot. The Line came to be dot by dot, coming together. Soon the Line learns that great things can only happen when dots decide to be respectful and work together.

This is a wonderful lesson for kids of all ages.

This is perfect book for a family to take a picture walk through. Cover the words with a post it note and take a walk through the colorful illustrations.  It is fun for kids to identify all of the things the Line can become, and it is especially fun for them to imagine what story the illustrations will tell.

Loudmouth Line on Biteable.
