Michelle Travis, a professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law, a Dean’s Circle Scholar and co-director of USF’s Labor and Employment Law Program, has just written a children’s book, My Mom Has Two Jobs.
My Mom Has Two Jobs exposes children to many of the possible professions for a mom outside of the home and, for each outside job, the author compares it to the similar loving care moms provide to their children at home.

About Michelle Travis
Michelle Travis is a law professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. She is an expert on employment discrimination law and serves as the Co-Director of USF’s Labor and Employment Law Program. Her research focuses on sex discrimination, gender stereotypes, work/family conflict, and disability discrimination in the workplace.
Michelle grew up in Colorado and now lives in the Bay Area with her husband, two daughters, and pet chinchilla. She is a former collegiate gymnast, a novice ballerina, and an avid non-fiction reader.

My Mom Has Two Jobs celebrates the work that women do both inside and outside of the home. On each page, children proudly describe how their moms care for them in a special way, while also making the world better through their careers.
