Today, our guest is Maureen Straka, children’s author, Reading teacher & Mom. Maureen is the debut author of a delightful middle grade book The New Kid that focuses on the issue of bullying and teaches some important lessons such as being kind, Standing up for yourself and for others. Maureen is a reading teacher for grades 3-5 at two elementary schools in Northeast PA. She’s a children’s writer who has been writing for a while, but just recently published her first book. She’s enjoying this new venture in life.
She is married and the mother of two terrific boys. They also have a lovable black lab. They live in Peckville, PA.
